Plasmat Roland 6x4.5 was introduced in 1933 by Plasmat (renamed as Rudolph & Co. Kamerabau in 1936) located in Berlin, Germany. Roland is a 120mm film rangefinder camera which film sized 6x4.5cm and 16 photos can be shot per film roll. The initial fast shutter speed of the camera was 1/250s, however, it was later replaced by shutter of 1/400s so as to produce a crisper image of a moving subject.

Reid and Sigrist Ltd was a manufacturer of aircraft parts and precision instruments located in Leicester. They were in charge of production of the camera. The camera, Reid was introduced in May 1947and available to market in 1951 until 1964. After production stopped in 1964, Reid and Sigrist Ltd sold all remaining parts to A.W. Young Ltd. A.W. Young Ltd and another company called Marson and Heard assembled additional cameras from the remaining materials.

This winter is the 45th coldest winter in Hong Kong since 1885. A Hong Kong local brand, “L plus H”, initiated a meaningful activity called Along with Community, gathered a group of generous donors include Nine Photography Limited and 9 Maiali Watches Ltd, to sponsor 4,000 high wuality sweaters to be distributed to support families in need, such as poor children and elders. Leica have produced 1320 units of M3 Black Paint since 1959. After half a century, less than 30 perfect black paint M3s remain. The black paint was not too durable and was easily scratched. The majority units of Black Paint M3 are in rather poor condition, as they were assigned to the war correspondents or photographers.

Leica M1 Olive, military cameras for West Germany, produced 208 units in total. M1 is a simplified version of M2. M1 has no rangefinder and the left illuminating window is covered. There are 35mm and 50mm frames displayed, excluding 90mm’s. However, above information is only applicable to ordinary M1 and M1 Olive.
