The company Hugo Meyer & Co. in the city of Görlitz was a well-known German manufacturer of LF and other optics. Founded on January 5, 1896, by the Görlitz native and master optician Hugo Meyer, they started out making Aplanat-type lenses and later added anastigmatic lenses to their line.
